My Story

Hello, I’m Hannah, a qualified and registered Play Therapist with a background in Psychology and Counselling. I have always been passionate about supporting children and helping them develop the emotional skills they need to feel happy, confident and able to thrive.

I understand that children do not always have the words to explain how they are feeling or what they have experienced. Play is their natural language, and through play therapy, children are given a safe, supportive space where they can express themselves, explore their emotions and make sense of their experiences at their own pace.

I take a child-centred and nurturing approach, building a trusting relationship with each child and following their individual needs. My aim is to create a space where children feel heard, accepted and understood, without judgement or pressure.

Being a Forest School Leader too, I have a particular interest in the therapeutic benefits of nature and outdoor play. I believe that being outdoors can provide children with additional opportunities for exploration, creativity, emotional regulation and connection. Where appropriate, I incorporate nature and outdoor experiences into my therapeutic work.

I work collaboratively with children, parents/carers and schools to help children develop greater emotional wellbeing and resilience. Every child is unique, and I believe therapy should reflect their individual strengths, needs and experiences.
